Spain and Portugal ended their Nations League final match with a 2-2 score, but Portugal won with a penalty shootout. Portugal struck twice after Spain’s first goal, and Cristiano Ronaldo was part of one of those ace scores before being hurt. It was in the penalty shootout that Portugal came out on top with a winning score of 5-3 following Morata’s miss for Spain. Ronaldo broke the record and won the Nations League twice for his country. Coach Roberto Martinez was also able to win an international trophy for the first time.
