The Supreme Court has instructed the Gandaki Provincial Government not to put the Ride Sharing Regulations on hold for a month, so that its application can proceed. This was determined following an appeal that was made against the suspension. These regulations, which were announced in May, were opposed by the Federation of Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs, which staged a strike in the country. The government of the province had planned to temporarily suspend the rules under pressure from the central government on June 3, but the suspension has been halted with the order of the court now.
