VW to stop making electric vehicle in US

The production of ID.4 is coming to an end at Volkswagen’s Tennessee manufacturing facility since sales of electric vehicles have declined in the country due to the expiry of the $7,500 tax credit. However, the automaker will concentrate on manufacturing Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles, among them the new Atlas to be unveiled in 2027. The current stock of the ID.4 is projected to be sold through 2027, although the automaker still plans to release the ID.4 in North America.
