Nepal Police arrested nine Indian citizens in Kathmandu on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in illegal trafficking of gold and silver. Based on a tip-off, police conducted raids on several gold refining centers and seized 1.76 kg of gold, 18.45 kg of silver, NPR 17 million, and INR 11,700. The accused, aged between 18 and 38 and hailing from Mumbai, could not show legal documents for the valuables. One of them was identified as Navanath Baku Kasi, 30. They were transferred to the Internal Revenue Department in Lalitpur for further investigation.
