Tesla has avoided a 30 day suspension of its dealer and manufacturer licenses in California after it stopped using the term “Autopilot” in marketing its cars in the state. Tesla was accused of misleading customers by using terms like autopilot and full self driving by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Since then, Tesla has made it clear that driver supervision is necessary. The decision was made as the company faces a decline in demand following the expiration of electric vehicle tax credits.
