A massive earthquake registered a 8.7 magnitude in Russia early Wednesday. The earthquake hit off the eastern coast of Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula, which is located on the northeast side of the country past the Sea of Okhotsk. The United States Geological Survey(USGS) has confirmed earthquake was a magnitude of 8.7 on the Richter scale and had a depth of 19.3 kilometers, meaning the quake was terribly violent. The impact was felt as far away as Japan, where a Tsunami warning was sent to Japan.
