Local media reports that at least 12 individuals were killed in a mass shooting in the Bondi Beach area of Sydney when celebrating Hanukkah. The police have reported that there are several deaths, two individuals have been arrested, and many more were injured and hospitalized. The Jewish members in the Australian community had assembled at the beach to take part in the event. Jewish leaders named the assault a tragedy and claimed that the government was warned of security threats but failed to act enough to protect the people.
