The four day festival of Chhath ended today all over Nepal, with Argha offerings made to the rising sun by the devotees. Its essence is the worship of the rising and setting sun to find happiness, prosperity, and long life. The worshipers had elaborate fasts, practiced along the river and ponds, and worshipped the goddess Sashti, which bore the values of Chhath of faith, purity, and harmony.
