The anti-corruption body has submitted a corruption case against six, including former Kathmandu Metropolitan City chief administrative officer Pradeep Pariyar, on the charge of rigging a sewer construction contract under the Samakhusi Corridor. Kalpavriksha Kohinoor JV was given the contract of Rs224 million, though there was another company that had offered a lower bid of Rs180.9 million. The accused have been indicted for causing a loss of Rs43.17 million to the state by disqualifying the lowest bidder unfairly, and the CIAA wants all of them fined and sentenced to jail.
