An arrest warrant was issued against journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak over a news broadcast.

A warrant of arrest has been issued for journalist Dil Bhusan Pathak following his report on his YouTube show, “Tough Talk” in which Jaiveer Deuba, the son of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, was alleged to have purchased the Hilton Hotel in Naxal with the assistance of businessmen Shahil Agrawal and Deepak Bhatt. The report also raised doubts about Jaiveer’s growing real estate business and connected his family to tax exemptions on certain imports when his father was the prime minister. The Shankar Group, which owns the Hilton Hotel, rejected the claims and threatened legal action.
