Development projects in Mustang have come to a halt due to extreme cold. This includes projects like the Beni to Jomsom to Korala road, where machines get frozen, and weather conditions make it impossible for work. Over 50 projects at all local levels have stopped, and construction is expected to start only when temperatures rise after April. Many locals and government employees have been shifted to warmer areas for winter, whereas security personnel are kept in place.
