Trump Urges Iranians to Oust Regime, Says ‘Help’ on Its Way

U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Iranians to continue nationwide protests and take control of government institutions as authorities crack down on demonstrations. In a social media post, he called on protesters to keep records of those responsible for violence and said the U.S. would provide “help”, without explaining what that meant, signaling support for regime change. This marks a shift from the previous day, when the White House said diplomacy with Iran was still open. Trump has also announced a 25% tariff on countries doing business with Iran, while rights groups say hundreds of protesters have been killed, a claim Iran denies, as it says it has restored control.
