Food Crisis Deepens in Gaza as Residents Scavenge for Survival

Gaza Food Crisis

The food crisis in Gaza has gotten worse due to the continuous Israeli siege and airstrikes, forcing people to forage through trash to find food. The interior ministry of Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas, reports that seven police officers working at a market were killed in recent Israeli airstrikes. A hungry mob broke into a warehouse in Deir al-Balah, killing at least two people, according to the UN. It is still unknown who fired the shots, even though aid had arrived at the scene. Civilians in Gaza are still in danger of starvation as a result of the worsening hunger crisis.
