A budget of Rs 1.964 trillion for FY 2082–2083 was presented by Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, of which 60.1% was set aside for recurring expenses, 20.8% for capital, and 19.1% for financing. The budget, which includes fiscal transfers to the provincial and local levels totaling Rs 417.83 billion, is 5.6% higher than the previous year’s. Target revenue is Rs 1.315 trillion, of which Rs 53.45 billion is anticipated to come from foreign grants. Loans from both domestic and foreign sources will cover the remaining Rs 595.66 billion.
