The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has initiated a study on the dissemination of the lumpy skin and African swine fever diseases in animals in Nepal to seek fast solutions to contain them. A team was established under the Department of Livestock Services in a meeting chaired by Minister Ram Nath Adhikari, comprising specialists in the Central Veterinary Laboratory and local authorities. Dr. Tapendra Prasad Bohora was made the focal person to brief on the situation regularly. The ministry also directed the department to project the resources that are required to get the diseases under control, with all levels of government assisting.
