Inflation Eases This Mid-October

Nepal Rastra Bank observed that the inflation rate of Nepal was lower than in mid-October last year. Last year, the inflation rate was 4.82 percent, whilst this year it is only 1.47 percent, which is lower than last year. Prices of food items decreased, whereas prices of non-food items, education, and clothing increased slightly.  Koshi Province saw the right rate of inflation, whereas Gandaki Province saw the biggest rise in salaries and wages, with the overall rating being 4.48 percent. There was also a slight increase in wholesale price. India had a rate of inflation that was 0.25 percent, which is lower than Nepal’s inflation rate.
