Intel has introduced its new Panther Lake AI chip in laptops at the CES trade show in Las Vegas, the first major product produced using its new high powered 18A manufacturing technology. Intel Core Ultra Series 3 will be much higher performance than its previous models and will be targeted at enabling Intel to win back market share in the market lost to competitors such as AMD. Another game that Intel intends to use the chip design for is handheld device games. Meanwhile, rival companies AMD and Nvidia also announced new and strong AI targeted chips at Cloud Expo, which demonstrated strong rivalry in the rapidly expanding AI chip market.
