Joby Aviation has commenced test flights with its first production air taxi as part of the certification process with the Federal Aviation Administration. The electric aircraft has vertical takeoff and landing capabilities similar to those of a helicopter and can carry a pilot and four passengers. The company is conducting these test flights in California. The company is planning to commence operations in Dubai and increase production to four planes per month in 2027.
