Such potential problems as data theft or even loss of money may occur while losing a mobile phone. Nepal Telecom encourages users to block their SIM immediately by dialing 1415 and providing the lost number with its SCODE (security code). In case SCODE is forgotten, visit the nearest Telecom office with ID. If you want to retrieve your SCODE, then send an SMS by typing SCODE to 1415 or 9771415. In case the phone is recovered, the SIM can be reactivated through the same procedure. If it isn’t, go to the nearest police station and get a replacement from Nepal Telecom.
