LPG Supply Under Scrutiny as NOC Rejects Shortage Claims

LPG Supply Under Scrutiny

The Nepal Oil Corporation has stated that there is no shortage of cooking gas, while the LPG bottlers and dealers in the valley have complained of a shortage of cooking gas. The bottlers have complained of increased demand for cooking gas in the winter season, transportation problems, and reduced supply of gas from Indian refineries. At the same time, the NOC has stated that it is importing more gas than usual and has increased the order for the delivery of cooking gas to meet the demand. However, the NOC has stated that there might be some delays at some of the bottling plants, while consumers are having to wait for several days to receive cooking gas.
