On Wednesday, the Special Court announced that the former PM and CPN (Unified Socialist) chief Madhav Kumar Nepal was out on bail worth Rs3.5 million after an imprisonment in the case of the Patanjali land scam. CIAA has said that he enabled the illegal selling of government-exempt land to Patanjali during his tenure as prime minister; CIAA is demanding up to 14 years of prison and more than 185 million rupees in damages.
