The NC and other major political parties in Nepal, such as the UML, Maoist Center, and others, have agreed to join the March 5 elections announced by the interim government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki, though they had initially voted against the dissolution of the House of Representatives. The leaders on both ends of the spectrum are now emphasizing that constitutional order and stability can only be restored through timely elections, and there should be cooperation in order to provide a peaceful environment to conduct the elections.
