The traffic police of Kathmandu have been left to work in borrowed or civilian attire, as protesters during recent Gen Z-led protests took over the uniforms and made fun of them, causing colossal destruction to the police infrastructure. Hundreds of police stations were burned down, automobiles were burned, and more than a thousand officers were wounded, and some of them lost their homes and other possessions in the burning of barracks. Despite the humiliation and suffering, officers continue to serve, and locals provide them with food and supplies, as police headquarters begin issuing new uniforms and relocating operations to temporary settlements.
