Minister Pun Warns, Too Many Party Registrations Could Weaken New Political Forces

With a growing number of new political parties, Education Minister Mahabir Pun fears this could weaken emerging political movements and help old leaders regain power. Over 120 parties are already registered, he says in a Facebook post. Yet, there are still more parties applying, which he believes is causing fragmentation. He has urged new parties to stay united rather than splitting because of small issues and not to let old leaders return to power. He believes that unity is essential to protect the goals of youth movements and to reform the current government.
