Power Tariff Dues Recovered From 35 Industries

Thirty-five industries that used dedicated and trunk lines during the load shedding years have begun to settle their long outstanding bills for electricity, paying up to date Rs 238.7 million of a total of Rs 5.94 billion owed. These dues date back to 2016-2018. Energy Minister Kulman Ghising added that industries can use the legal avenues but he hopes they maintain payments. The NEA had previously threatened them with a 21 day deadline and then terminated power to certain industries in October following the failure to make payments.
