OpenClaw Founder Steinberger Joins OpenAI, Open Source Bot Becomes Foundation

Peter Steinberger, creator of the widely used open source AI assistant OpenClaw, is entering OpenAI to assist in the creation of capable personal AI agents. The CEO, OpenAI, Sam Altman, announced that OpenClaw will remain open source with a foundation sponsored by OpenAI. The software capable of managing emails, making flights, and other activities has become an instant hit with the rest of the internet. Nevertheless, it has not avoided security issues, with threats being issued that its misuse could result in cyber threats.
