According to data of, Department of Customs, nearly 16,659 units of cars, vans, jeeps, and other vehicles were brought in Nepal in Fiscal year 2081/2082. Among them 13,569 units of electric cars, vans, jeep have worth over Rs 31.75 Billion. Whereas, 3090 units of electric minibusses, microbusses, worth over Rs 9.28 Billion were imported.
