The resort to petroleum imports by the Kakarbhita border in the first five months of fiscal year 2025/26 was Rs. 7.84 billion, having observed a gradual increase compared to the previous year. Imports have also grown by 3.1%, a factor that has also increased government income from these products by 2.5% to 3.86 billion. According to the Mechi Customs Office, the imports consisted of petrol, diesel, LP gas, aviation fuel, and kerosene, the majority of them consisted of petrol and diesel.
