On Thursday evening, a very powerful bomb was thrown off near Pachehara Hat Bazaar at Kapilvastu, breaking a big part of the main road. The explosion left a hole approximately 10 feet and 4 feet in diameter. No casualties were reported. Police suspect that the bomb may have been planted on the road, where it detonated, and may have been left during the Maoist insurgency. An investigation is in progress.
