Ashika Tamang and Sharan Tiruwa have been sentenced by the Bhaktapur District Court to five days in prison on the basis of criminal mischief. They were convicted of interfering with the collection of the fees and shredding notices at the Sanga suspension bridge. In addition to the jail term, they will each pay a fine of Rs. 500, Rs. 8,300 in compensation, and Rs. 200 to the Victim Relief Fund. Tamang later regretted the incident.
