A strong explosion occurred at approximately 9:15 PM on Wednesday when a furnace burst at Jagadamba Steel Industry, located in Jitpursimara, Bara. The factory has reported that one of its Indian workers was hurt, although people living nearby expect the number of injured people to be higher. The burst was very loud, so that it could be heard at a considerable distance, as well as creating panic in the surrounding regions. Fire engines and ambulances had been positioned outside, and police were on the scene very soon.
