In Lalitpur, police have arrested 52 people, including six Chinese nationals, for running illegal dating and crypto transactions. Based on a tip-off, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) barged into a house in Baliphal where a company named Social Software Development Pvt Ltd was also running a call center and the MeToo dating application. Though the company had been registered legally, police reported that it was a scam ring, to defraud Nepali girls through online dating and illegally conduct cryptocurrency business. In the raid, Rs 1.4 million worth of money was recovered.
