tottenham wining Europa League Final

Six years after reaching the Champions League final, Tottenham beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final and will play in the Champions League again next year. A deflection off Luke Shaw in the 42nd minute allowed Brennan Johnson to score the winning goal. Although they ended up 17th in the Premier League, Spurs’ European triumph makes them the sixth team from England to qualify because their UEFA coefficient is so strong. Because they finished 16th, Manchester United won’t play in European tournaments for just the second time since 1993.
