Nepal Police has enrolled an online traffic awareness course on the Nagarik App, which means that those who violate traffic rules will now be able to fulfill the required courses easily without visiting any traffic offices. Introduced by the Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, this web-based system, with the application of AI, tracks the faces of the participants throughout the class and disconnects the participants in case the rules are not followed. The decision is supposed to cut paperwork, encourage safe driving, and help simplify traffic monitoring and make it transparent.
