US President Donald Trump has announced the war to be over as he travels to Israel to witness the release of hostages as part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. The terms involve Hamas releasing all Israeli hostages (with around 20 still thought to be alive) in exchange for Israel releasing 250 Palestinian prisoners and well over 1,700 detainees. Trump will first visit Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and talk to the Israeli parliament before traveling to Egypt to host a peace summit with international leaders, including UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
