TU Appoints Associate Professors through Fast Track

Tribhuvan University

To support faster growth, Tribhuvan University (TU) is skipping written tests for PhDs and international journal articles when appointing 100 associate professors. Some part-time professors are now saying that the move is unfair, as it favors certain teachers and goes against equal open competition. Experts say the Supreme Court had stated that recruitment needs to provide equal and transparent chances, which the TU now seems to be neglecting. While the ONM Committee keeps Evaluating Staff Structure, it raises fresh doubts about how hires were made.
