Two individuals have been arrested in Banke by the police, alleging that they have vandalized and looted government offices in recent protests in Nepalgunj. The people arrested include Shalikram Pathak, the president of the Community Police of Jayaspur, who was arrested in his home on suspicion of arson and vandalism, and Deepak Tamata, arrested in Surkhet, on suspicion of robbery. They were arrested after the authorities requested the citizens to provide evidence on those who took part in the attacks, where dozens of government offices were burned and damaged.
