On Monday evening, two construction workers, Pradeshi Chaudhary of Kailali and Bishal Chaudhary of Bardiya, died after one of the lift chains snapped at a building under construction near Hitipokhari, Durbar Marg. The accident occurred at 5 PM while they were applying grease inside a fourth-floor lift. The chain broke, and as a result, they died when the lift fell. Their bodies have been referred to Bir Hospital for the postmortem, and police have commenced with investigation into the accident.
