The Valley Police office has initiated an awareness program to reduce the increasing issue of noise pollution in Kathmandu Valley, where people are requested not to talk at high intensities in the early morning hours, use fewer horns on vehicles, and avoid late-night disturbances. The police have cautioned that too much noise is bad for the health, particularly of children, the elderly, heart patients, and expectant women, and for education, mental health, social harmony, and economic activities.
