Xpeng plans to launch flying car

Chinese EV maker Xpeng officially arrives in the UK with the launch of their flagship SUV, the G6, in London. The price of the G6 ranges from £39,990, offering a 341-mile range and 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. It has fast-charging capability, going from 0 to 80% in less than 20 minutes. Working with International Motors Ltd, Xpeng plans to open 20 dealerships across the UK by the end of 2025.

Other models from the brand include the AI-powered P7+, the G9 SUV, and the X9 people carrier. Xpeng also exhibited the long-awaited X2 flying car, built by the company’s division, Xpeng AEROHT. The G6 is priced just below the £40,000 threshold for luxury tax. Changes to electric vehicle tax will come in 2025, which will reduce rates on zero-emission cars.
