BMW to Recall Nearly 59,000 Vehicles in the US Due to Damaged Wiring Harness, NHTSA Announces

Due to the possibility of damage to the wiring harness of the air conditioning causing a short circuit, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that BMW is recalling 58, 713 vehicles in the US. The issue was found during a quality check, says BMW, and the company confirmed that no accidents have been reported related to this problem.
