Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah returned to office on Thursday after remaining out of office for a few days. In the meantime, Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol and other officials had a clash with municipal security while trying to restore Chief Executive Officer Saroj Guragain, who had been suspended by Shah but whom the court had ordered to be restored. Shah is believed to be with friends and family in Dolakha. Security, under SP Raju Pandey, summoned Guragain accordingly on Shah’s verbal instructions.
