Kathmandu metropolitan city has implemented a digital address system in ward no. 26 so as to make the area more technologically friendly. Ward Chairperson Khyamraj Tiwari launched the system based on NFC technology to access house information easily. The first to use this improved form of the metric address system is Ward 26, which covers areas such as Thamel, Lainchaur, and Samakhushi. The digital number plates will consist of a QR code, chip, street name, and old address, as well as Google Plus and local codes.
