In Barekot, Jajarkot, telephone service has reverted after a period of two weeks, with lightning causing a tower of Nepal Telecom to be damaged. People had trouble communicating and carrying out their daily activities. The service was restored after the request of Communications Minister Jagadish Kharel, and this made locals happy. The inhabitants also demanded that the government increase internet services, citing that the number of internet users in the region has increased.
