The Muzaffarpur-Dhalkebar transmission line received approval to boost electricity imports from India to 15 hours daily instead of 12 hours previously. The Indian Energy Exchange approval enabled the expansion of power supply from 6 am to 5 pm to a longer period, which will help address power shortages and minimize electricity cuts, especially in Nepal’s industrial sector.
