The Nepal government is reported to have recommended a new aviation policy permitting people/institutions to acquire aircraft to be used privately in Nepal, when till now they could acquire aircraft only to facilitate commercial purposes. The entire policy is drafted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and comes with stringent terms of safety and airworthiness, as well as commercial flights by aircraft owned by individuals not allowed. The policy is yet to be finalized and is available to the public for their comments.
