Telecommunications Authority Chairman Bhandari has asked the government for Rs 2.28 billion to Purchase Land

As the funding for fiscal year 2081/82 is not adequate, the Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) has asked the Ministry of Communications for an extra Rs 2.28 billion. The amount is also for purchasing land on which to build its own office building. Because of this, neither new projects nor payments for past work are being approved by the NTA. Sources say that budget work has been stalled, and Chairman Bhandari is not releasing the money owed. The previous projects he has held are now also being examined, which is concerning about his openness.
